    Sync time daily

I got some "problems" when it comes to the automatic syncing,
i can't tell if it actually works or not, recently i have noticed it hasn't synced in weeks so i manually sync, and it can be 30+ seconds behind.

Now i know that it's not a huge thing, but to me i find it odd that it's not syncing more often.
I know i tried changing the interval in the registry to do it more often, but that doesn't seem to have done anything.

Running the task "SynchronizeTime" in task scheduler also doesn't work, but not sure if that's even supposed to work as the service is set to Manual (Custom Trigger) and it seems this task expects it to be running and it's mostly stopped.

So i am wondering if there's a way to change the syncing interval to do it daily or something similar?

Hi, have you checked the settings here? You can also note when the clock was actually synced.

These scheduled tasks don't appear to allow you to run them manually.

However disabling and enabling automatic sync in Settings appears to force synchronisation to occur.

    More in the Control Panel:

You could use the information here:
Synchronize Clock with an Internet Time Server in Windows 10
to configure your own scheduled task.

Yeah i use that to check when it was synced, atm it seems it synced when the computer woke up.
Though i made a scheduled task for that actually, but can't find it so perhaps i didn't -_-.

Thanks, yeah i looked at those scheduler tasks and yeah it didn't "work" so glad it's not something on my end.

been checking that link, very useful, love the guides here as they are usually very straightforward but still detailed enough.

I am glad that it synced today though if it wasn't actually cause of some manual trick i added, cause then it seems to work.
Cause i actually made it reset earlier by doing the "w32tm /unregister" stuff.

gonna check if perhaps the SpecialPollInterval works now at:
    HTML Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\w32time\TimeProviders\NtpClient

It might be worth noting that many time servers will not respond to a check if there has been one from your IP address in the past hour or so. If you try the manual sync method, in other words, and the first sync succeeds, and then you try again, you'll get a "failed to" message. I don't have any idea how many of them do this (as you know, there are a LOT of atomic clock time servers out there), but some certainly do.

    This is what I use:
WorldTimeServer.com: Current Local Time and Date in any Zone
I like it so I can get an idea where a member is if their time is different from mine but no locale listed.

I did not get sync time to work, like ever. I use Update Time v1.3 , just drag it to startup and that is it.

It seems to work for now, not sure if it's just cause the service is running, as it's normally not and i haven't had the time to reboot in awhile.
Grateful for the suggestions of alternatives, will look into them!

Apart from that i will mark it as solved as it seems to work and it feels wrong to just delay till it might not work haha;P

Many thanks for all the contributions!
