How to move OneDrive folder to D Drive?

    Hi, I have Windows 10.
I moved downloads and pictures to D by clicking right and going to location. There is no such option on the OneDrive folder. What is the method to move it on the D drive which is much larger and would like it there.
    Thank you.

OneDrive is in the cloud. It sits on a hard drive in Washington and/or Ireland. Is that what you mean?

Is D:\ a partition on the main drive, or a separate drive?

OneDrive allows you to "redirect" to any location you want. It's in the settings.

Are you using the paid version of OneDrive?

Is OneDrive being used as a primary storage source, or backup?

I'm beginning to think this whole configuration is heading for disaster.

Hi. D Drive is a separate physical drive. How do I reach it's settings?

Then moving any user system folders to a separate drive is not a good move. User system folders are an integral part of the OS and belong, at least, on the same drive. Better still, leave the user system folders intact, and just move your personal data to similar named folders on the D:\ drive. You can easily do this with programs like Robocopy.

To get to OneDrive Settings, right click on the OneDrive icon in the SysTray.

Make sure your data is backed up somewhere else, it's just so easy to lose data from OneDrive if you're unsure of what you're doing.

Personally I wouldn't use Onedrive- too many complications.

It's a great idea to keep personal data off C: though- I'd encourage you to do that to separate it from the side-effects of O/S maintentance, e.g. restoring a disk image.

You can create your own personal folders on D: - and even add those to libraries or create your own libraries.

Installing programs often means they create their folders in Documents, Folders etc- so leaving those in their default location may be a better idea for that reason- and then your folders and files on D: are not mixed with those.

    Moving one drive is easy

I have mine running on my D drive. Unlike Dalchina for me one drive is working great. Been using it for years. It's a fundamental part of my Office365 subscription.

It's also used by my company. All of my stuff is in my OneDrive for Business folder.
