I'm still using my old gen3 pc's with Windows10, I also still use a gen4 and a gen6 PC and at the moment see no reason to upgrade but even if I did then to get into a gen10 setup would cost less than £200 (GBP).

Has anyone given thought to what system hardware will be like on 2025 systems? We all know well that when you buy a new system it's obsolete in there months. If your going to go new! Build it yourself. Cheaper and more upgradeable then mainstream brands. Just my 2 Cents worth. Ghot's post on Work-arounds Section at the bottom of the post works with pretty much any system. It installed cleanly on my 10 year old DELL Laptop.
I have a nice Intel i7 on a Gigabyte board that has the TPM socket on it but so far haven't found a supplier that has the card that plugs into the socket on it. Everything else seems okay. The CPU is a Haswell 4-core 8-thread.
....err...win11 is not even released as a product. Don't sweat it until then.
