    D:\ is not accessible

The message continues to "The file or directly is corrupted and unreadable"
The drive is 4TB SSD used as a data drive. This happened about three weeks ago. I could not recover data stored in it so that I formatted it and started using it again.
    The machine is running W10.
I wonder if there is a way to re-use it so that it lasts longer.

Correction for my post: "This happened about three weeks ago" meant "The same thing happened three weeks ago" In other words, the recycled 4TB SSD lasted three weeks.
I maintain a second 4TB SSD drive as a backup so that I copied this backup to the recycled 4TB SSD. And I started using it again as the main data drive three weeks ago. It appears that I have to let it be RIP.

BTW: I use Firefox and its personal profile is in D:\ which includes bookmarks, etc. But Firefox still seems to be working with no problem. Why Firefox does not have any problem accessing D:\ where I cannot using Windows Explorer?

See what CrystalDiskInfo Portable says. It reads the SMART info. When you do it regularly, you can monitor a possible deterioration of the SSD.

Or use HD Sentinel and it will continuously monitor the health of your drive(s). I'm a recent convert and wonder why I waited so long to try it.

    Download CrystalDiskInfo.
It's a portable, don't need to install. Extract and run.
