C:\program files\windowsapps (with a space) is a protected system folder containing your store apps.

Why do you want to delete all your apps by hacking them?

    dalchina,

Thx for response. Any idea how to stop the errors I'm receiving on about 5 apps that used to run fine, but now I'm receiving the errors I posted.??? To my knowledge I've made no chg.'s. or updates. Tia....

edit to add: I don't want to delete the apps, i just want to stop the errors on bootup.??

As I don't know which apps they are bar one - presumably from the Store- it's not possible to comment in detail.

If they are apps that come with Windows, there's a tutorial about re-registering and uninstalling them.

If they are apps you got from the Store, can you uninstall them?

Or, since 'apps' is used loosely, are you in fact referring to traditional desktop programs (exe/dll) that you downloaded and installed? (Though that seems unlikely given the folder you refer to ).

If you wish to disable startups, the task manager has a basic list under its Start-up tab.
Autoruns (free from MS) lists everything that starts in sections. Check box to disable.

Is this the Filemanager you're referring to?

If so it's not a Store app..

    dalchina,

Yes on the socket 3 file manager app. That app i believe is also available from the store now.??

Right now I have an appointment for a higher level of support tomorrow. I'm new to win 10 but not the windows family but I hate turning my pc over to dell remote support access. Oh well./

i just want to stop the errors on bootup.
Which apps (list them) give you this error?

    Can you post a screenshot?

Have you examined your startups as I suggested?

    dalchina,

I'm not sure how to post a screenshot, I don't have a photo hosting site. Dell went through all startup and apps reregistering and SFC, DISM and reloading apps today with no success......

Also they built new test user account and that did not stop the errors either. It's late tonight in eastern std time so I think I will wait for dell In am. thanks for your help

Do the built-in apps work e.g. Groove, Photos... and does the Store work?

The last screenshot appears to show the content of the Windowsapps folder. Have you changed its permissions?

You said the apps for which you've given screenshots used to work- any ideas what change happened around the time they stopped working?
