I have a newly formatted hard drive at the ready for the trial edition.
I have several PC's with Windows 7 and one with 8.1 (I love to build computers). After purchasing the inexpensive Windows 8 license when it first became available I decided I much preferred Windows 7. The primary reason for this was that I could not find what I wanted in a few seconds as I could previously. So the Windows 8 PC was placed in storage.
In the last two weeks I brought it back to life and updated it to 8.1. I have been using it ever since and have decided that it is now OK. Most of the time I am just in Firefox or another application where 7 or 8.1 does not matter and navigating the apps menu in 8.1 is not so bad.
In conclusion I like both 7 and 8.1 but can't wait to get my hands on 9 to give it a spin around the block.
I've used every MS operating since DOS, I'm in the IT business so Yes I will load and use Windows 9, That's in my interest. Whether I end up using it as my Primary OS is wholly dependent in whether it gives me something more than my current Windows 7 install, Windows 8/8.1 although a good enough OS did not give me enough extra to make the switch, ( I actually have a test machine and a dual boot install of 8.1 Update1 for support purposes). Windows 9 will need to prove itself before I make a switch for personal use, this is a choice I have as do others
Yes:
I have had every "Beta Version" & Every version since the beginning!
Some times they get a little "HAIRY". But MS is still at the top of the Market!

I said yes, but of course a lot of that will depend on if I can afford it, not had this Notebook long enough to retire yet.
I love technology and if possible want to try each OS as they come out, I came late to the computer world never touched one till September 1998, but I just love them and the learning curve, keeps this old brain ticking over.![]()
Ok. I've changed my mind. It doesn't mean I am abandoning 7 but I am getting 9 just for the heck of it. It will go on another drive anyway. I don't see any reason why I should not give it a go when it's out.
It has to be cheap and I am still to see any real reasons to move up from W 8.1 so far...but I'm watching and waiting
I will try and see whether it fares better than Win8.
