Is there a particular program, or are there a tiny group of programs, that lead to PC freezing? I know you used the word random, however, sometimes, the freezing is not really random. Also, was there any major driver update or updating of drivers? How about Windows Updates - any specific or tiny group of WUs done? I think others in here will ask for a list of important hardware in the computer.
"Memory: 16GB" not bad, not bad at all! I have no idea what is causing the freezing, I will listen in and learn from others in here what the solution set is.

Freezing can be due to bad RAM too. You can use the Windows Diagnostic Tool to check it.

Does Reliability History have entries covering the problem events,if so,then lines 1&2 should give information for a search.
Have you looked in Device Manager for error flags,in particular,Display Adapters?
Also check with ---dxdiag--- for any problem entries and in the Display page, note down the driver details and visit the maker's site only and download that driver,or a later version if available.
Uninstall the existing driver, then install the new one and uncheck any sections of the driver package which is not applicable to your system.
Freezing is sometimes caused by old or faulty,or both, drivers.
Just an update to this problem
I notice sometimes the PC would not POST ie show the BIOS..
Or I need to restart a few times before it would show the POST..
Not sure what that indicates
Could you clarify the start sequence?
When the start button is pressed,do you see the motherboard logo,e.g.Gigabyte .Is that what you mean by ---bios---?To display the bios normally requires the ---Delete---key to be pressed.
If nothing happens when the start button is pressed,a faulty switch or PSU problem is more likely.
