Is it possible 2 increase the # of characters that folders/icons show?

I want to make the icons/folders bigger so they're easier to see, being able to change the font, and what I want most is to be able to determine the number of characters icons/folders can have in their name before the name is cut short with an ellipses (and I mean aside from increasing the size of the icons through the view menu in internet explorer).
Being able to change the font would be nice as well. Does anyone know how to do ANY of these things? It would be a gigantic help to me.

My version of Windows 10 Home 64bit is: 10.19042 Build 19042.

You can change the system font, the titlebar font, but not, as far as I know, exclusively that used for folders. Here's a convenient way:

If it's just the number of characters shown move the mouse to the Name at the top of the column then right until it turns into a double arrow, click and drag to the right to increase the column width. Can do the same with the other columns as desired. Or when that double-arrow appears just double-click it, will maximize the width to the longest file name.
