How to delete errant files in System Restore with stubborn permissions

I found out today that some glitch in System Restore resulted in a almost 50GB of files that can not be deleted due to permissions.

I've tried a few things I googled and so far only was able to delete part of them.

What's the best way to change permissions of the files in a way where I can finally delete them?

It's a Windows Apps folder and the files are related to XBox Game Pass games.

If you need more information let me know what you need please.
    Thank you.

Hi, there are at least 3 ways to access the Windowsapps folder, of which the least desirable is to change its permissions.

    a. Use a program called Treesize (free).
    b. Boot your PC from a live boot disk (or if confident with command prompt, from a Win 10 install disk or boot to a command prompt) - permissions should then not apply.
    c. Take control of the folder
    d. If you already have access to the folder, but can't delete files in it, use a program such as Emco Unlockit (free), which can delete files on restarting your PC when permissions don't apply.

    See e.g. discussion here:
    Why I can not open C:\Program Files\WindowsApps ?
    - covers permissions and Treesize
