What is this, who put it there and how do I remove it?

    What is this, who put it there and how do I remove it?


    A couple or three weeks ago this thing appeared on my task bar, just to the left of the Systray. What is this, who put it there and, most importantly, how do I remove it?

    It's a new MS thing called News & Interests. To control it, just...

    Right click the Taskbar and...

    Me too, What is MS doing. They seem to think they can RULE what we look at. I got rid of it/ MS can **** off

    Didn't you read the EULA, paragraph 28, sub-section 17: "We can do anything we want to our OS, that you're renting, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it"

    The answer may be in the EULA/End User License Agreement and the part about only having a license for the use of Windows.

    Microsoft makes changes with every Cumulative update they put out, it`s nothing new.

    You can start using Windows Automatic Update Manager and take control of your PC

    Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)
