My printer works fine.

My questions have to do with the 3 variants of PrintNightmare that I have researched so far. It has been stated from multiple sources that:

The patch that MS published does not solve the problem.

Users have to jump through hoops to disable print spooling to mitigate the problem.

There is more than one mitigation. Which one do I use?

Etc.

To make a long story short, it is a big hairy mess!!


My questions are about securing my computer until MS publishes a patch that eradicates PrintNightmare 100%. All the mitigations that have been published, including the one from MS, are all about disabling print spooling.

In the mean time, I need to print from the web. DAILY. I can't sit around and wait for MS to fix the problem. So that means I have to constantly enable / disable print spooling, perhaps. I am not really sure.

And I really, really need help. BADLY.

I chose the Ryzen 2600 and the i7 10700, and clicked compare.
If you scroll down, you'll see all the benchmarks from those two CPUs.
