Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, and currently studying for A.I. & Machine learning course.

Hello from northern Illinois.
Basically a mac user, had to have a laptop that runs windows for the job, think I got lucky finding this very good condition Lenovo thinkpad T440s on my local craigslist, it has 8gb of ram, a 500gb ssd, windows 10 pro, and office on it. It even has a back lit keyboard as well.
So far so good using Windows. My last time using ANY windows version was when Vista was released, bought a brand new budget class laptop, don't remember the brand from best buy that the salesperson said would more than handle what I needed it for and it couldn't even do an email without crashing multiple times. Took it back and went and got a used apple powerbook and never looked back until I had to get one that ran Windows for the job because they switched to a online meeting platform due to having to work from home because of the alleged pandemic. So far this Lenovo seems to work very well, and seems to have decent battery life which is a good thing since I do not work from home at all, when the majority of coffee shops were following the public health forced closure, I went and found a few that were not and worked from them, and now the 3 days a week that we are supposed to still work from home, because our company thinks we are obligated to reduce the risk to the community even though all restrictions are lifted in Illinois, I go to either an independant coffee shop in Chicago, or a starbucks to work. Cannot tolerate being home alone and put effort into employment, too many more pleasurable and important things to do like taking the sweet dog to the park weather permitting or being on the dating sites hunting for a boyfriend who is 20 to 30 years younger.
