Hi All, just upgraded from an old dell tower running windows 7 to a new dell tower (Inspiron 3891) running windows 10 and so far I’m very frustrated. It’s almost like in trying to make the experience more idiot-proof they’ve made it harder to edit settings/add functionality. That’s why I’m here, hoping to connect with folks and problem solve. I’m in California and happy to DIY when possible. All the best!
I have to agree with how you are feeling. They keep messing with things trying to make it easier, but for who? I don't know of anyone who thought that Windows 10 was more user-friendly, everyone I know, went back to Windows 7 for as long as they could. In fact, that was what I did, until they absolutely quit doing updates and patches, then I came back to 10. Hell, I thought XP had been a pretty good OS, and really liked 7 Ultimate. MS just can't improve to perfection what they have, it appears, they want to throw stuff into a new OS and try to spend the next few years trying to work out the bugs.
No offense to anyone who knows more about this than I do. Just saying that I really hated changing, and it wasn't my fault I hated it.

Thanks Wynona, I appreciate it. Just wish I had found yall years earlier, looks like I could have gotten around some of the heart-ahces of changing from Windows 7
Hello @nootkabear,
Https://elevenforum.com sister site awaiting you when you decide to "upgrade" to Windows 11
Your Intel Xeon W3550 is too old to be on Microsoft's list of Windows 11 supported Intel processors. Best to stick with W10, it's in full support until October 2025.
