    Cannot use: Enable_open_news_and_interests_on_hover.reg

Within the past two weeks the News and Interests button became active on my computer. It might have come with a recent upgrade file. I noticed that I could hover on it and I'd see news and weather. Today I notice it is only a banner on my taskbar and I am not sure it's updating or dead or what. When I right click and bring up the task bar menu there is no "open on hover" option. I went to look for how to fix this and tried to download the file you see in the question field but my computer tells me not to download it because it could damage my computer. I am not a whiz with WIN10. This is not Win98 or 7 which I could get around quite easily. Too many things are hidden and I don't know how to work in the system. Thanks for your help with this.

For Windows Insiders there was an update last week KB5003214. It installed the News and Interests and proceeded to mess up many people, including myself, TaskBar on the right side. Microsoft has yet to fix it, but I imagine when they do, your issue will be resolved too.

That new app is okay on 2 Desktops and 1 Notebook but on a 2nd Notebook isn't showing all the items the others do, has some blank/black areas in it, namely the Top stories at upper left and a few further down.

Thank you both for making me feel not like a total idiot. Hopefully they'll figure out what's going on and fix this soon. I'll keep the thread open just in case you find out some new news about it. If I see it's working again I'll come back to let you know and close the thread.

Microsoft wants people to use News & Interests.
In about two weeks they will probably release an update that will fix what they broke with this update.

This is a pretty common occurrence lately.

The easiest way to keep track is to check the Ten Forums News...
    https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-news/

Our own @Brink posts the new update releases, as fast as Microsoft makes them.

We always get update(s) on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, and generally get one around the last week of the month.

    Fixes to Issues

They did release an update and now I can see the weather plus news stories on the tab.

There is another issue that is plaguing me and I suppose I should start a new thread but I'll start here anyway. It has to do with any website that has content that you might want to email to yourself such as a recipe or a specific article from a paper etc. If I click the email icon at the site a blue square pops up which says "Choose which email to send from" however there is nothing there except the word continue. If I click that it takes me to a search page with a picture. My primary emails are yahoo and hotmail but neither is listed so I can never email myself anything this way. It is quite annoying. I looked in settings but I can't figure out how to fix this for the life of me. Previous versions of Windows didn't have this issue; it always worked properly without my having to do anything. If you have any suggestions please advise. Sorry, I couldn't take a screen shot of this or copy it. Thanks.
