finding files recovered from recycle bin

I inadvertantly deleted some playlists from an I-tunes folder. I recovered them from the bin but I don't know where they went. Any ideas where they are would be appreciated. Thank you.
    I have Windows 10.

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

Whenever you go to the recycle bin, click on a file and choose 'restore' then it should be returned to the folder it was in when you deleted it.

The files did not go back. They went somewhere else. That's my problem.

They should go back to their original locations if you select the deleted item and chose 'Restore the selected items' (or Restore all...).

How exactly did you try to restore your files? You can click-and-drag a file out of the recycle bin, but if you do that they'd end up wherever you dropped them.

If you've temporarily mislaid them (='lost!) but you know the extension or the name, and haven't a clue where they've gone, install a free fast search tool such as
    Locate32
    Everything by voidtools
    Ultrasearch
    etc

    - let it index (a few minutes) then perform a search using that.

A Playlists restored from the Recycle Bin are Restored to the iTunes folder in C:\Users\[UserName]\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music.
If you open iTunes, they should be listed under Playlists, or you may need to import them. Fix: iTunes Playlist Disappeared & Restore iTunes Playlists

Did you try importing your playlists from the iTunes folder?
