mkv file details (frame rate height width etc)

What I'm trying to say is with the frame height res width showing in explorer, no value is shown...
I can't explain the missing info.
Try using MediaInfo to see if, after installation, right-clicking on an MKV file shows whether the missing details are visible (you might need to switch to Text from the View tab).
MediaInfo should at least let you know what was used for encoding. Perhaps that will give a clue.

Conversely, what was used for encoding the MKV file where the info was present?
It sounds like an encoding issue, not a File Explorer issue.
no clue what encoder was used, i didnt create them... many of the files have the info when i RC and do properties... its just it wont show in file explorer
