mkv file details (frame rate height width etc)

    mkv file details (frame rate height width etc)


    they dont show in explorer... is there a way to make them appear??

    You should be able to see them in Details view but will need to right-click on a column header and add the additional column headings.

    Use Frame height and Frame width, not Height and Width.

    I can't explain the missing info.

    Try using MediaInfo to see if, after installation, right-clicking on an MKV file shows whether the missing details are visible (you might need to switch to Text from the View tab).

    MediaInfo should at least let you know what was used for encoding. Perhaps that will give a clue.

    What was used for encoding the MKV files with missing info?

    Conversely, what was used for encoding the MKV file where the info was present?

    It sounds like an encoding issue, not a File Explorer issue.

    no clue what encoder was used, i didnt create them... many of the files have the info when i RC and do properties... its just it wont show in file explorer

    As I mentioned in an earlier post, MediaInfo should be able to show the encoder (writing application) that was used, HandBrake... for example:

    mkv file details (frame rate height width etc)-mediainfo_encoder.png

    Hope this helps... but that's the limit of my experience.
