how to remove blue box with arrows?

Geez, after last weeks sudden appearance of the weather icon, this morning I notice all my files icons in explorer have a blue box with 2 right facing arrows. How do I remove these boxes? Win10pro 20H2 ver 19042.985
    Thanks

Hi, could you please post a screenshot? Thanks.

Note: under your avatar you're running Win 7..as is shown in your specs.

    Norton perhaps?

Thanks Dalchina. Yes I am using Norton and since you mentioned Norton, a message box came up from Norton about installing a ramsomware add-on and to do a cloud backup. I did install it but can not do the backup since the allotted space is smaller than my backup size. When I get home tonight, I try what you suggested- i'm at work on my laptop. As far as a screenshot goes, how do I do that and I will need to update my system specs since all my computers are on the same win10 pro version.

Hit the PrtSc key to take a screenshot, then save it to your desktop.
Then just click this icon and browse to your saved pic...

There are quite a few programs - backup, synching- that create overlays like that.

Windows includes Snip & Sketch for screenshots: there are plenty of free 3rd party programs as well.

Two blue arrows means your files are compressed.

Open an administrative command window (cmd.exe) and check your system status:

    compact /compactos:query

If system is indeed in compacted state and you don't have any free space issues and you want the utmost speed, unpack it by running:

    compact /compactos:never

    And afterwards: compact /u /a /i /s /exe c:\*

That command will decompress ALL FILES on your C drive.

And this command will decompress all files using NTLZ1 (NTFS compression) on your drive.

    compact /u /a /i /s c:\*

Careful- I think what you're referring to is this:
how to remove blue box with arrows?-1.png

    The problem is described thus:
a blue box with 2 right facing arrows
Are those arrows right-facing? Is there a box?

Still await a screenshot from @mg8t7gn.

    I think this is closer:
Double blue arrows overlaying every folders and files after win 10.

Thanks all. It was Norton and I followed the above directions and they are gone. It was the style shown in Dalchina's last post, small blue box in lower left corner.
