Top left corner icon keeps moving

Hi,

I use a piece of software to reset all icons on booting to a set position. I reset on Shutdown & boot-up. Solves the problem!

This is what happens on every single boot, the "This PC" icon loads in top left corner, when I move it back into the block it stays there until the next startup, then is back in the top left corner again?

Funny thats the opposite of my issue. Thats the spot i want to keep my pc icon but it wont stay there, everything else remains where its supposed to be.

Thats even more effort than just moving the stray icon back where i want it to be.

OK, I see what you mean but it automated on shutdown & start-up.

Nothing to do other than install it & set the setting!

I think the point is this problem should not be happening, and from the lack of responses to the original post I would say that this does not happen to most people who run Windows 10.
And I would rather find a solution that does not involve installing and running another third party program to fix the issue, so thank you for trying to help, but I will stick with what is happening until someone comes up with a simple fix that does not involve other software.

Hey guys, I kno this is old, but I have the same problem for month now on 2 computers and just solved it aparently. What Ghot wrote on page 1 did it. The personalisation - theme thing. For me the bin was checked but pc not, because I created that myself and that seemed to be the problem. It was also the PC icon for me. I just deleted the icon with the little arrow (dont know the english word) and checked the box for pc icon and it seems to stay there now. On your screenshots from your desktop I saw that your pc icon has that arrow too. So I guess it is the same way for you
