how did you do that and does it apply to all ODTs regardless of where you have them saved?

I know that is possible and not limited to just ODTs but a fix exists that covers PDFs and DOCs

Apparently yes, and, it also works if you create the documents in Word...

after reset unable to have PDF and ODT files display as preview-000455.png

however, it seems you must have AOO installed!

    Beats me but it works!

    AOO???

How did you get Open Office to give you thumbnails? File path and settings?

I seldom use DOC files but do use RTF and some DOCX from Open Office.

After reset I'm OO 4.1.9 BUT, how my PC did before reset did not care if OO created a PDF, DOC, or even ODT.... no matter where they came from, a thumbnail image and preview happened.

Thanks, this should be no sweat and standard on all Win10 PCs

I do have it and it installed 4.1.9 earlier this month!

Trying 4.1.10 now but, prior I had a much older version, pretty sure.

    Yep, 4.1.5...............

it appears uninstalling it has not worked and yet it doesn't show up on list of installed programs after Inoperative Uninstall attempt.

Seems now to be causing trouble?

and maybe things will be well after a fresh install of AOO 4.1.10?
