    Microsoft News in the Systray

Microsoft News in the SysTray after a restart (not update associated restart) ... where did this come from????- no News app installed in Start menu- no "News" processes running- no listing in the Task Manager > Startup options- no options on right-click to close/shutdown- nothing in Settings > Taskbar icons/optionsI suspect it's Edge associated (??) but Edge is not my default browser and rarely used.

How to get rid of ..... !!!

Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 20H2Installed on ‎4/‎01/‎2021OS build 19042.964Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0

EDIT : EDIT : Bugger. Isn't it always the case .. as soon as you post, you find a solution. Just another one of Microsoft's "in-your-face add-ons yer gonna get whether you like it or not." Right click on Taskbar > context menu > News and Interests > Turn Off.

    Solved.

    Typical Microsoft...

I noticed this with the last update.

Just look for the "^" to the left of the system tray at the bottom right of your screen. Then right click on it, go to News and Interests and turn it off.

    That's all.
