Quck access automatically clears after every restart

It means I stare into empty window when I click File Explorer... instead of what I have done recently. This started very recently. End of last month. Not sure if it's an app or an update or a Troubleshoot fix or whatever that somehow did something behind my back and changed my Quick access default setting.

I thought it was CCleaner doing it in the background so I uninstalled that just to make sure. But to no avail. Nothing changed - my QA continues to auto-clear all "recent" stuff. Task scheduler is my next suspect but I dunno how to find the culprit (cause it's difficult what to look for if you don't even know the name of what you are looking for. I suspect it's a Microsoft fix that's behind it but Microsoft has it's own extremely vast and extensive Task Scheduler library (thousands of tasks scheduled, and found separate from all other apps that have something scheduled). So where do you even begin to look?

    It`s not CCleaner.

Is this how you`d like it to look ?

And I`ll assume you already have these boxes checked ?

I'm exactly talking about those recent items. I'm aware you can add and detach folders of your own to Quick access but aside from that they are automatically generated and those are the ones missing, particularly the files that should appear on the main (right) pane of File explorer. That goes 100% empty without me manually clearing anything. In the past that never ever happened even once. It just never cleared itself unless I explicitly (manually) conducted disk cleanup of some kind via whatever software.

And yes I had ticked those boxes @AddRAM

What I want is for File Explorer to not be like this after every logon:

Something has changed and I can't quite pin it down. From experience I assume it has to be one of three possibilities:

    1) some installed software has decided to clear it without me asking
    2) something new introduced by Microsoft update
    3) "overfixing" by Microsoft Troubleshoot fix whenever you apply that application

Whatever it is something should in principle indicate its existence in Task Scheduler, no? Something triggered by login or restart. My quest is simple: "what?"

I don`t think it`s something done by Microsoft either, or more people would be asking about it.

By definition it involves Microsoft (a File Explorer function is being executed). If I knew the raw command or regedit or whatever File Explorer element that was being executed then that would lead me to find out who or what is taking the initiative to execute, no?
