    I actually like it

At least, now that I've trained it not to show me Hello!, OK, and other sources of that ilk (I'm in totally the wrong demographic). Your preferences are stored as *.bing.com cookies in Edge, so don't clear those.

The only thing I've felt compelled to turn off is 'open on hover'. Now it only opens when I click on it.

Saves so much time and effort- I don't have to look away from the screen and out of the window to see whether it's cloudy...

I repeat, "Why?". In other words, what benefit do you think you would achieve?

    Denis
Megahertz said it best; that member said, "One more of those Apps that you don't need, didn't ask for, didn't install and now you have to waste your time neutralizing it."

To that remark we say ditto

Removing it would stop them from accidentally on purpose turning it back on "for you" in the next Windows Update.

    This makes sense to us

Microsoft gives us an entire store chock full of all manner of fabulous Apps that we are free to select from. This 'News and Interest' should/could be made available, if not already, in the store.
What you guys did, basically, was give us a free product and then coerced us into using it, thereby taking away our right to free choice, of which there is so precious little of in the world today. We want what We want, not what an entity decides we want.

At the end of the day, you agreed to a license agreement to use Windows. You don't "own" it and they can at their whim make changes you might not like.

At least they let us shut it off. It' showed up on my box yesterday.

Sadly, you are absolutely correct Sir; thanks for putting it in perspective.
Even though we waited too long and ended up paying for the OS, we do seem to forget that we paid for that user agreement as well.
It's the way of the world and we feel as though we're standing in the Impulse Aisle of a gigantic store or like we are that donkey with the carrot on a stick out in front :)
