HP Laptop Number Lock key turns off

This problem has plagued all computers that have the windows 10 and it's various versions numbers.

It is not a startup problem. Never has been for me and probably never will.
But for the life of the devil that possess my computers the num lock key just randomly decides to shut off.
All forums and help pages and guru pages all deal with num lock off on startup. Repeat this is not a startup problem this is working on my computer the whole day problem. The blasted computer turns of the number lock key. And no one has an answer anywhere.

I do not have a problem with Num lock on bootup
Ever time I get the windows lock screen I put in my password and it allows me in.

I thought it may had been the case where I accidently turned off num lock key when I was attempting to
hit the backspace key which is right next to the num lock key. Instead of trying to do it from muscle memory(
when I learned how to type in 10th grade in HS 16 years of age) I'm 65 now.

I am really trying to be diligent about not striking the backspace key without looking at it.
But once again it just randomly cuts off. So I am going to mark this as never to be solved.
