    Changing "Public" to "Home" in unconnected Windows 7 Professional

    Shawn Brink's especially exquisite "How to reset Settings App in Windows 10", 04 Oct 2020
    "www.tenforums.com>tutorials>165667-how-reset"
    specifically his Option Three, the Command Prompt route :

    1. Will precisely this Command Prompt, as given, work in Windows 7 Professional ?

    2. Is it expected that the term used by Brink "InstallLocation" within the Command
    will be treated as generic, to be replaced by either "Public" or "Home" (or "HOME")
    as the desired new "Location" ?

    My reliable old workhorse Windows 7 Professional (service pack 1) reigns in a computer with Intel
    Core i7-2600 processor. That computer is not now, and never has been, a participant in a network;
    but soon will be IF I can successfully execute a "Location" change in the currently stand-alone system .

    The tutorial referred to by the OP is Reset Settings App - TenForumsTutorials

    Steve - Windows 7 does not have a Settings app [or, indeed, any UWP apps]. What are you actually trying to achieve i.e. what do you want to be able to do afterwards that you cannot do now?
