Upgraded, CPU, MOBO, M.2, RAM, PSU, Now computer is restarting all day

IF you are crazy enough to try all 4 sticks... you MUST put them in these slots...



Slot 1: PART # F4-3200C16-8GTZR.... DRAM MANUF SK Hynix
Slot 2: PART # F4-3600C18-8GTZRX... DRAM MANUF Samsung
Slot 3: PART # F4-3200C16-8GTZR.... DRAM MANUF SK Hynix
Slot 4: PART # F4-3600C18-8GTZRX... DRAM MANUF Samsung


I'm NOT recommending you do this, but the ONLY way they MIGHT work together is by following the motherboard RAM channels.



I DO recommend, that you only use one set OR the other and put them in slots 2 and 4 counting away from the CPU.

Yeah, I just noticed that. No version number, but it DOES list the DRAM manufacturer.

It was just a lucky combo.

When I told you to unplug the drives, I also said only run one stick of RAM.

This is one of the reasons, that people's computer specs are so important. If in your specs, you had listed both sets of RAM, the problem would have been easy to solve.

But... I'm glad you got it going. I think you'll probably be OK now.
In the future... only use RAM..... SETS as sold by the manufacturer.
They test those SETS to make sure those sticks work together.


As a computer person, you did good, all except for the specs part.
It's always a pleasure to work with someone who knows their way around a comp.

• All power cable connections; check that all required connections are actually connected.
• Screws securing the motherboard to the case to insure there isn't a grounding issue
• checking the power switch connections
• Check that the clear thin plastic cover is removed from the CPU cooler (seen that happen).
• Check the the CPU has adequate thermal paste (causing a heating issue)
• Check both CPU and CPU cooler is properly seated (causing a heating issue)
• Check CPU cooler fan cable is connected to the motherboard (causing a heating issue)
• Check the RAM is properly seated.
  
• check all other hardware is properly seated to the board and that no grounding issues are there.
• In the BIOS make sure to click/enable "Load Optimized Defaults" so the motherboard has a base setting to work with the hardware that's installed.

Ya, had we known he was using 2 different sets of memory, this could have most likely been fixed a lot quicker.

Hopefully, irishwheels will fill in his memory specs properly
