30 minutes ago was the first time I have put all 4 of the RAM sticks into the computer together as 4.

The black screens and the restarts all have happened with only 2 sticks of ram inside the computer.

I figured that we had fixed the problem with the cord being undone and then redone. So I wanted all my ram inside.

I had no idea that if you bought the same set of ram like this it was bad. But yes, they are two separate purchases of G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB).

I'll remove 2 of them, sort them and then report back. Putting them in slots 2 and 4 counting away from the CPU.

Yeah... try to find the version numbers. I'm trying to find programs that will help... AIDA 64 can find who made the IC chips.... but it's not free. I'm checking for another.

Model number is in the top red box. The lower red box shows the DRAM (IC chips) manufacturer.

The way you have your memory listed in your specs is totally confusing.

Ya just put 32GB, it doesn`t matter how you got it, as long as the 2 sets are duplicates.

You also need to add the speed, and the CL numbers to your specs

    Why did you get 2 sets of 2 x 8GB sticks ?

    The price was to high for a 32GB 4 x 8 set ?
It was a gift. So I just rolled with it

Thaiphoon Burner will tell you everything you want to know about your memory.

But then so does the box they came in just not the memory chip maker. Hope your sets use the same.

OK... ONLY use one set. Either the Samsung set or the SK Hynix set.

May or may not work together, but FIRST we need to get the comp working... THEN we can try other things.

Btw... HWINFO64 will tell you the model AND the IC chip manufacturer.
    It's free and portable.

    Ya, that`s bad.

I would just use the 3600 MHz set.

If you use all 4 sticks, they will only run at 3200 MHz

And the CL numbers are different on each set, which is not good.

The 2 3600 MHz sticks should be Samsungs, you`ll have to find out.

    @irishwheels

IF you were going to try and run BOTH sets... then you still have to follow the motherboard RAM channels.

Like one set in slots 2 and 4... the other set in slots 1 and 3.

BUT...just try one set for now. In slots 2 and 4 counting away from the CPU.
I would use the Samsung set, if it were me.

For future reference, always try to buy RAM in ONE two stick set for however much total RAM you want.

Like... if you want 32GB of RAM, buy a 2x16GB set.

I would not use all 4 sticks.

They are 2 totally different sets.

Use the 3600 MHz Samsung sticks ( as Mike has already said ) even though the CL #`s are higher.
