    New build freezing

Within the past month, I put together a new desktop with the following components:
    CPU - Intel i7 10700K
    Mobo: Asus Prime B460M-A
    Ram: Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 (2 x 8Gb)
    SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus

The power supply and everything else was from previous build.

On two occasions, the computer has frozen. I looked in the event log and I see nothing there.

Windows 10 64 Pro is up to date.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

I was able to update BIOS. Windows shows up to date. I cannot find any driver download for the B460 chipset.

Eventually I ran the Asus setup CD that came with the mobo, and got the chipset drivers there.

You have not had any BSODs that I can see, only freezing problems. This forum is only for BSOD problems (see the header of the forum and now this thread).

I'll ask an Admin to move this to the General Support forum.

Open Device Manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

Yes, there is one for PCI Simple Communications Controller. I've had this in the past, and I think I just disable or uninstalled it.

Do you have an integrated graphics card,or a dedicated one?
Dedicated cards have their own memory, integrated help themselves to system memory.
Freezing is often caused by display adapter drivers malfunctioning.
