    I thought this was fixed with the BIOS and Windows updates, but it locked up again today, so I'm back to square 1.

    Do a Clean Boot. If this works, you can keep it this way, or you can add one Service, or Startup Item at a time until it locks up again, then you will know the culprit.

    I'm not sure if this might be a clue to the problem, but since I had to use the power on switch to restart the machine, after I did that, the system power options settings had changed from where I had them set.

    I will, but this has only happened three times in six weeks, so figuring out the cause is not going to happen quickly.
