    pc is now freezing up

i have started having some issue now with the pc freezing up. what it is doing is this. i leave the pc for any amount of time can be 15 min to hours and when i come back to it the tabs are stuck. i see i have email and click it and nothing or i go to ebay and try to navigate and nothing they hsw the last that was there. i have to open a new tab as not even refreshing helps, most of the time it go back and is still stuck.

it was working until i did some type of repair to the screen saver that was said to reset those settings and then let me start over. what i was trying to do is get it so the screen saver would not kick in in 5 minutes. i set here and do some other task and then the screen would go out for the screen save kicking it. and i was looking at the screen, so i extended the time to 30 min and then it started messing up and resetting that did not help.

so is there a fix for that? also now it will not go into hibernation for overnight where it requires password to get back into it. i use finger print but that went away as well.

i went back and tried that reset again but it did not work so there is something going on i guess. so outside of restoring the system is there a fix for this. thanks bp.

In your profile column (left side), click My Computer (bottom) and enter the info. It will then be there permanently. Also good to keep updated.

i did that but did not see anything that says my computer. i clicked on my profile and along the left i did not see it? i did go into the settings and changed it to 30 minutes to the screen saver and 60 minutes for the sleep and this time when i came back to the pc i had to use the finger scanner so maybe that is all i had to do. i will see in the morning if that was it. thanks

Have you tried a System Restore back to before the problems started ?

It was clearly something you did that started the issues, as stated in your 1st reply
