    See if you can boot to Windows Recovery Environment (RE) command prompt > open notepad > search for: srttrail.txt > if found post results into the thread

    After testing the drive one option is a reset save files equivalent (reinstall drivers and applications).

    Have you tried Safe Boot ?

    Tell us exactly how far you are getting before the crash.

    Can you see the Bios splash screen ?

    Can you get into the Bios ?

    You could always try to recover (personal) user data files by booting from a Linux distro (I use Mint) USB. Starts the linux system in the computers memory (i.e. writes nothing to the drive).

    You can access user files (Linux ignores Windows ownership and possession requirements), and copy them to an external source. Then faff about with repairs/recovery/whatever to your hearts content .. or just wipe and re-install (after testing the drive, of course)

    I have WinPE and Mint. I prefer the former.
    WinPE can be used to clean install Windows, while Mint cannot.

    Like you, I would have to use Google... it took a few attempts and several minutes to find that for you.
    Sometimes it's actually useful to have an older build - gives a reference compared to the current. And almost inevitably pre-built live boot disks are behind- but great things to have available on occasion.
