When minimizing apps on Windows 10 (2004 19041.867,) a small version of the apps' windows appear on the desktop. I'd like this not to happen. Would prefer to just have the app minimized as it always has been and not appear on the desktop. BTW, I do understand the purpose of having the minimized app appear on the desktop, but just don't want to utilize this feature. Thanks.
Hi, if you're referring to the taskbar thumbnail previews, you can suppress those completely - 1 click in this very useful tweak program

Taskbar thumbnail previews only appear when you hover the cursor over the Taskbar entry for the application concerned.
Is this what you are talking about?
If not, please post a screenshot or photo so that your issue can be better understood.

Inadvertently solved the problem. BTW, I guess I didn't make myself clear when stating the problem. My problem was not with taskbar thumbnails (I do like them.) The issue was that when minimizing programs, rather large "thumbnails" of the minimized programs would appear on the desktop. What made these unwanted "thumbnails" go away was when I clicked a "+new desktop" text (link ?) that appeared on the screens upper left hand side.

That is caused by pressing WInKey+Tab. A similar thing appears when you press Alt+Tab.
Another variation appears if you click on theicon [but I removed that so long ago that I cannot even remember its name].

Great shot in the dark. Can't image just how good you'll be with a shot in the light. Yeah, that's it. It would happen every so often; but truthfully, I don't recall if I ever did those keyboard shortcuts as I rarely do keyboard shortcuts.
