    Unable to Delete a folder in windows 10


    Hi can someone help please
    I have 2 folders on my laptop they are left over after i deleted some other folders and when i try to delete them i get a message saying (this is no longer located in my music folder but I can see it there)

    I have been told to use the cmd but i am nervous in case i make a mistake as i am not that good with computers

    My Version is windows 10 version 2004 (OS build 19041.867)

    Right-click on the Start button --> Windows PowerShell (Admin)
    Run the following line of commands and post the output.

    CMD /C Dir /a /b /s "D:\Music\*" /AD /ON
      My Computer

    I did as you suggested and this is the result

    Try rename the folder and delete it.

    If that doesn't work repair NTFS file system by executing Chkdsk D: /f command.

    I have already tried to rename and it will not let me

    I will try the chkdsk command

    Run the following via Windows PowerShell (Admin) and post the output.

    CMD /C RD /s /q "D:\Music\Born In The U.S.A."

    It is intended to delete the "Born In The U.S.A." folder only.

    As per your screenshot, a period was missing after the letter "A" in the folder name.

    Ok thanks for the advice. I will have another try tomorrow

    It is possible.

    I just verified that command for one of my files.
      My Computer
