Change Documents Shortcut

My documents shortcut under This PC leads to OneDrive. Is there a way to change it to go to the Documents folder under my user profile? Here's the thing: I have games that save in My Documents, but most of my games are backed up on the Steam Cloud. I don't want my game data backed up on OneDrive and the Steam cloud because it tends to slow down my games when OneDrive tries to update my game saves while I'm playing the game, plus I don't want to take up unnecessary space on my OneDrive.

Go into the Document folder properties here and change it.

It is possible because I just did it a week ago.

I don't remember the exact steps and can't verify this since I stopped all syncs with OneDrive and uninstalled it when done.

I got the same error when I tried to move the Documents folder from OneDrive
I went into the OneDrive Settings, then Backup > Manage backup.
I unchecked the selection for the Documents folder.
Once I did that I was able to move the Documents folder from OneDrive

This is the only way I know to do it. I suggest you only keep things in the Documents folder you don't want synced with OneDrive. For files currently in OneDrive\Documents that you still want to sync with OneDrive, create a new folder and move them there. Then just add this folder to the ones synced by OneDrive

Okay, so let me ask this: If I uncheck all of the folders to not be synced with OneDrive, will all of the documents and pictures be deleted from OneDrive? Can I just add the files that I want to the OneDrive base folder and still have them sync? I've done it before too but I had to make some registry changes.

EDIT: Well that worked! Just uncheck all of the folders and OneDrive won't try to take over your computer. Thank you, Mr. Horse!
