    Adjustable black box on desktop, can't delete..

    Good day all.

    Within the last two weeks I've noticed a tiny single bar on my desktop that can be adjusted to any size, but cannot be deleted or moved from that spot. I've run full Kaspersky scans, Malwarebytes adware, deleted and rebuilt thumbnail cache (cleanmgr) etc, but it won't disappear. There is nothing strange running in processes that I've seen. This is on a brand new Win10 install, fully updated to 19042.867.

    It doesn't seem to impact anything, but it's completely out of place. Any idea on how to get rid of it or why it's there?

    Hi, assuming it's some kind of window, it will belong to a process. To identify that process, get e.g. WinSpy++ (free).
    Download WinSpy++ 1.7

    Download & run that, drag the finder tool on top of that window, inspect the information presented by WinSpy++.

    Then take appropriate action to suppress it.

    I think your right. Just booted into safe mode to use DDU, and it's gone.. I'll check it out with WinSpy.

    EDIT*** Figured it out thanks to WinSpy.

    It was a bug in the new MSI Dragon Center app, Voicecontrol.exe or something like that. Googled it, uninstalled it, it's gone and DC works perfectly.

    Thanks for the help,
