    Appdata/temp over 25gb of folders

I have a PC running 20H2.906. The AppData/Temp folder get full of folders and the total space taken up can exceed 25GB. Attached is a screen dump of one of the opened folders. I have done some searching on Google and have had suggestions that it could files from one Drive (Which is uninstalled) to failed Task Scheduler "SilientCleanUp" and this should be disable to fix problem. Nothing has changed the temp folder keeps filling up with these folders.

Any help would be appreciated.Attachment 326391

I read the article and it says don't delete the folder. "So yes, as long as you perform a clean boot first, you can delete any or all contents of %localappdata%\Temp (although you should keep the folder itself as it's a Windows folder)."

Also it does not explain where these folders are coming from, sometimes I get a warning that my SSD is full and when i check it is the type of file in my example. Hundreds of them, The most I have had is around 50GB

Check whether you have installed software running in the background.

You can safely remove Temp files by using Windows Disk Cleanup or a free 3rd party app System Ninja which we highly recommend.

I accept I can remove them, however why does it keep filling up with these type of files?

Yes like most PC's there is always software running in the background. I know that programs put small txt file into app data /temp - that is not the problem it is the type and size of the file in my example.

Try uninstalling/disabling nonessential third-party software that runs in the background.
Windows built-in software is not very likely to create such sizeable temp files.
The %Temp% folder on my 20H2 is 86.5 MB.

It looks like an "application extension" is filling that temporary folder. Do you have anything scheduled for backing up certain files?
