Windows 10 and it's horrendous issues:

    Hail all:

So, another few months later, the issues persist with my Defender, File Explorer, and other parts,
and these seem still not to be fixed any time soon.

Strange, since, you (MicroSoft) seem to have so much time that you updated that Terms of Use AGAIN:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/serv...oming-faq.aspx

    What am I missing here?
Is that terms thing more important than the bugs being fixed?

I am truly very disappointed in all this...

Hello, it seems you think you are talking to Microsoft.

Unfortunately, not so. Members here are users, customers like you.

If you wish to direct comments to Microsoft, please feel free to use the Feedback Hub app or a Microsoft-run or MS community site. Thanks.

If you actually have a specific technical question that a fellow user might be able to help with, please ask, noting the forum prompted you for your full build number.

You appear to be using Win 7, so you could try sevenforums if it's a Win 7 issue.

When I joined this forum in 2014 I had also joined the Windows Technical Preview [now named Insider Preview and I'm on the Dev Channel] and installed the first released/RTM version. There were sufficient written 'warnings' that Win10 would be the last numbered version and that there would be twice-yearly Version Upgrades and each followed by monthly Build updates to them. There have been some updates more often for correcting issues found. Also noted was the EOL/End Of Life of about 18 months for each Version which would prompt to do the Upgrades and Builds. The Builds are quite similar to Service Packs of previous versions of Windows.

As for the Preview versions there were warnings not to use it on the only computer or a production computer as there would be glitches, after all they were for testing. I've kept two computers in that program [they didn't cost me anything but my time and some salvaged parts].

    Ben,

I recommend a clean reinstall of Windows 10 followed by making a system image followed by not running any Registry tweaks.
