HDD Data Drive in New PC: Will I be able to Open/Read/Modify my Files?

I set up my old Dell XPS 8900 desktop PC with dual drives: an SSD with Windows 10 Home for the C: drive and an HDD for my data as the D: drive. I am ordering a new desktop computer and it won't be here for another week. I'm trying to anticipate any problems and sort them out in advance of the new PC's delivery.

Will I be able to install my HDD data drive into the new PC and get right to work? Or will I have trouble with ownership/rights/authorization when trying to access my own files on my D: data hard drive?

"riders": Is that the new lingo for data drives, called that because they are not "driving" but rather, "riding"? (I did perform a Google search but no joy.) Pretty cute. I like it.

Yes- if indeed it's needed. It depends what's on the drive and their permissions of course- e.g. folders assigned to libraries, or programs you've chosen to start installing on that drive, say.

Thank you for the reply. Please forgive me, but your answer "Yes" is to which question? Yes, I will be able to get right to work? Or yes, I will have trouble with ownership? Or yes, that is the correct link to the "Take Ownership" hack? Or "yes" to something else?

The files are PDF statements/files, Excel spreadsheets, JPG screenshots, html links, Notepad and Word files. They are sorted in folders by Subject or Year and Month.

I never intentionally assigned a file or folder to a "library". (EDIT: I just educated myself on libraries. I do not use them, but they look pretty cool.)

There are no programs/apps on the D (data) drive.
