windows 10 questions, on monitor
I ran on to what I thought was a good deal at a flea market. MSI 740 gaming laptop with no charger. Fellow didn't know a thing about it. Said he got it at a storage sale. Batt. was dead so could not power it up. Gave him the $100 he wanted for it and ordered a charger. My thought was how neat it would be for a 80 year old man have a gaming laptop. I didn't care about the gaming part, just thought it would be neat to have a good heavy duty laptop. After getting the charger and starting it up I seen how vibrant and classy the screen looked. I seen it Had windows 7 and had no updates since 2015. That didn't bother me much because I wanted to put windows 10 on it. I installed win. 10 on it and the screen was so washed out, no contrast and hardly see the icons. I played around with it a day or so and finally got the screen so messed up I couldn't hardly read it. I did some checking on MSI web site and found that is not a computer that you can not put win. 10 on because of the drivers. So I did a "reset as new" figured I could live with win 7 but no up dates or anything on it, It won't let me install any kind of virus portection, says require service pack one. Had Internet explorer 8 on it and wouldn't let me even connect to the Net. Tried installing Win. Edge. wouldn't let me, finally got Goggle chrome on it. (and connected to net.) So now I want to put Windows 10 back on it and the question is are there any drivers that would solve the screen problems or could I get some one who knows what they are doing and set up the screen colors where they are acceptable. (like normal win. 10 laptop) I really don't care about the gaming part.
