How to remove phantom file on Windows 10 Pro

Howdy, I have a phantom folder (Synology Drive - Synology220 highlighted in the attachment) I need to remove on my windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.867). It was created somehow when I installed "Synology Drive Server" on the Synology DS220+ NAS. I believe the folder is somehow keeping me from being able to map the DS220. You can see it's location from the attached pic. I have tried to map the Synology device via the finder and by using the Synology Assistance app. I am pretty sure it is a Windows issue since I am able to map the device on another computer on the same LAN network. I have tried to remove the folder using Windows Credentials without any luck. Any suggestions? Tks.

See my ditty about using RoboCopy to clear out a rogue file - TenForums

Since the problem is a folder rather than a file, you'll need to backup everything in its parent folder because it is that you will be working on to clear out the problem item.

Denis, many thanks for the quick response. I did as you instructed, but the process did not seem to work (probably pilot error)...
Here is the command I used:
    RoboCopy “C:\Users\HB-P52\Desktop\TEMPP” “C:\Users\HB-P52\AppData\Local\SynologyDrive – Synology220\SystemFolders” /MIR
    I also tried:
    RoboCopy “C:\Users\HB-P52\Desktop\TEMPP” “C:\Users\HB-P52\AppData\Local\SynologyDrive\SystemFolders” /MIR
In either case, the phantom folder was still there.
This issue is becoming a real problem. As I mentioned in the original post, I can map the Synology220 on two other computers on my LAN, just not my laptop...very frustrating!
    Again, thanks for the help.

Depending on what it is, you may have a suitable option available if you rt click it.. e.g. Disconnect...

Why was there any doubt about the path of the folder you are interested in?
How did you get that entry to be displayed in your File explorer Navigation pane?

In File explorer, select the folder you are interested in so you can see its contents then click in a blank area of the File explorer address bar to display & copy its full path unambiguously.
    - Paste it here.
    - Paste a screenshot as well.

What is the significance of the path you illustrated in your diagram?

    Denis,
thanks again for the quick response. Unfortunately, the issue for me relates to not being able to map a drive. When I use the Synology Assistant program and I enter my user ID and password, I get the error shown in the attached pic.

I know the ID and pw are correct as I use them to successfully map the drive on two other computers on the LAN.
The possible red herring regarding the phantom folder was to see if it was causing the issue of not being able to map. On a related note, I used finder to track down the offending folder and was able to delete it. However, it still appears on the Finder window (on the originally posted pic.)
There has to be something in Windows that got corrupted. I also do not think it is the Synology Assistant program as I have uninstalled it and then reinstalled it.
    Thanks again,
    Harold

    Harold,

It seems to me that you would need to uninstall that mapping utility then resolve whatever problems remained [if any] and only then consider reinstalling it.
    - For all I know, the utility might run services in the background that might prevent third-parties [including you] changing anything in its AppData folders.

I cannot help with anything to do with that mapping utility because I have never used one and don't understand what they do.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

    Harold,

I should also have said, "Welcome to TenForums.".
It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month so I can benefit from Excel's filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at www.tenforums.com/tutorials

Your system specs do not include your computer model. That can be useful if you ask particular questions.

Personally, I just list my equipment in my signature instead.
