Auto replace 'i' with 'I' in Windows 10

I have a new laptop and for some reason it is not replacing the single word 'i' with 'I' as my old laptop used to. It does in Word but not in any other apps. It is very time consuming to do this manually when typing emails etc. I mostly use Chrome and a web browser for my Virgin Media emails. I've checked in Google settings and I can't seem to find an option to auto replace. I also have the Autocorrect and AI enabled in Windows settings. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Hi, there's no truly universal autocorrect. The one built in to Windows seems to have limited applicability to some UWP apps.

Thus you need to find a suitable solution in various programs.

For example, I'm using Firefox. I have Windows Autocorrect on. It has no effect.
In the Feedback Hub it works, but not in Stick Notes. Odd.

I use Atlantis Word Processor (looks rather like older MS Word),
    That has its own Autocorrect.

See comments after this tutorial indicating issues... but the tutorial doesn't specify applicability unfortunately.

There have been older discussions on this e.g.

This claims to do it.. 3rd party tool..
