    Well, mate, many who dove into Windows 11 Dev channel head first are now finding out they have to do a clean install to get out. Don't think they know about Macrium or making full backups either.

    Just know that the Windows 11 RTM version will probably not work on your non-compliant hardware and you may have to do a clean install in the future. Right now they'll let Windows 11 Insider Builds install on various non-Windows11-compliant hardware so they can collect more telemetry data and see how it's performing on as many data points as possible.

    Yes Steve I guess that was bound to happen as it did with some when 10 was coming into existence. Like you say why backups or swapping in a new hard drive reinstalling 10 and doing it on that is beyond me.

    ok they sure made it look good, some scammers take a lot of time making it look real. i got this notice in my notification side bar that is why i asked. it did not show up in any emails. so i must have got into a bad site that put that notice on my pc somehow in windows notices. and defender has ran 3 time's since i got that notice and did not find anything wrong. ccleaner ran out good and so did malware bytes beta
