Weird Windows 10 PC

I just activated a new PC with windows 10 on it.

I downloaded Macrium Reflect, but I can NOT get to the download folder because I can NOT figure out how to see C-drive. This crazy. I have 3 other windows 10 PCs and never had this kinds of problems.

I also have some programs on DVDs that I want to install. I can NOT see the DVD drive.

Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks

Can you find ANY file, folder, or drive?

Can you find a search box of any type?

I am not sure what Explorer File Manager is but I know what File Explorer is.
In File Explorer here is the list of folders:
Desktop
Downloads
Documents
Pictures
Music
Videos

You should see C-drive and DVD drive here also but none show.
Yes there are search boxes anywhere I open, doing a search for say "Cdrive" nothing comes up. Basically it says it can NOT find it.

Without being able to see the drives, it is difficult to do much.

Any help is appreciated.

"Downloads" is a candidate for where Macrium might have landed, but the destination folder for downloads is typically a choice made in the browser's configuration. I have mine set to put all downloads in "D:\downloads", but yours is likely set to the default folder....so drill into that downloads folder and see where it leads.

And root through your browser's menu to confirm the setting.

Re searching:

Given those 6 choices you list, I'd drill down into "Desktop" and see if that eventually will lead you to the C drive.

Might also be useful for you to find and drill into C:\users\

Look for subfolders under that.

Some subfolders will NOT be shown unless you turn on "show hidden folders".

While this on my mind, I was working with Edge and a notice came up saying my Edge was NO longer valid and to download the new Edge. What did that mean?

I know nothing whatsover about Edge.

Keep looking for the C drive. That's far and away a greater priority than Edge.

Run ---sfc /scannow--- and---dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth--- to fix any possible file corruption.
Does Reliability History have any entries covering the problem?

Try this:

1. Press the Windows key and r key together. This will bring up a Run dialog.
2. In the dialog, type explorer c: then press the Return/Enter key. This should bring up 'Local Disk C:' in File Explorer.

Alternatively, in Edge's address bar, just type C: and press the Return/Enter key.

The message just means that you are still using the deprecated 'legacy' Edge browser. It is suggesting you install the new Edge... but this will be delivered to your device soon anyway (and will remove the 'legacy' Edge).
