How can I move windows 10 boot files to another drive to allow linux

    Hi
My windows 10 system boots directly from windows 10 C drive. Usually windows 10 boots from a small boot (500 mb) partition but I moved the partition to C drive using macrium reflect boot repair. When I install linux it wont boot since there is no boot partition anymore. How can I restore boot partition . I install linux but it wont boot . The system directly boots to windows. Grub wont show up.
I tried making a partition and using macrium reflect again but this wont work.

    Thanks.

Open disk management > by default some columns are compressed > widen each Status and Volume > make sure the contents within the parenthesis are in full view and that none of the characters are cutoff > view disk 0 > widen this row as needed so that all of the characters are in full view > post an image into the thread

Download and install Minitool Partition Wizard > click launch > post an image of the results into this thread

All your drives are MBR and the Windows is on a Legacy-MBR drive
I can't see why you can't install Linux.
    - If you install Linux on same drive than Windows, a Linux (ext4) and a Linux swap partition will be created and a Linux boot loader (Grub) will be the master boot loader for Linux and Windows. When you boot, Grub will ask witch OS you want to load (Linux or Windows)
    - If you install on another drive than Windows, a Linux (ext4) and a Linux swap partition will be created and a Linux boot loader (Grub) will be installed as master boot loader only for Linux. This is my recommendation as Windows and Linux will be in their own drive. To boot a different OS than the default, during post you launch the boot menu and choose the one that you want.

I think you already have the second option on the first drive.
To boot Linux launch the boot menu (or change the boot priority on BIOS to the first drive).

    bcdboot C:\Windows /s E: /f BIOS

That will set up the boot files for Windows on E: drive. You will need to change your boot priorities in BIOS to boot from disk 4 first. Note: MiniTool starts disk numbering at 1, but Windows starts disk numbering at 0. So in BIOS you might have disks numbered 0-3 instead of 1-4.

    NavyLCDR,

OP can boot windows, what he can't do is boot Linux.
I think all he has to do is to boot from the first drive (where he has Linux Mint).

When available please post script results for post #2.
If there are any problems running the scripts please post error messages/ codes.
    Manual commands are also available.
