mysterious google script on windows login?

    Thanks, ineuw. It's been very useful. I found the experience.exe file in the minitools folders (Minitool Partition Wizard and Minitool ShadowMaker). Deleted them, it seems the problem has vanished, so far.

    I don't get that script, but I'm running a licensed (not free) version of the MTPW stuff. I do, however, get an experience.exe in my Nvidia file tree (but AFAI can tell, it's not causing issues). I'm going to rename it and see if my strange cmd prompt windows at boot-up may disappear. Thanks!

    I've had MTPW on my system for quite a while. I haven't used for some time, but I check it monthly to make sure it's up to date. It has experience.exe in it's folder, but I haven't experienced the script error.

    Ed,

    Doesn't Task manager, Processes tab, Apps section, Command line column show you what is running the error dialog? Mine does.

    I had also deleted experience.exe but the error dialog appeared again this morning on one computer. It's the same computer I had the problem with before.

    Task manager, Processes tab, Apps section, Command line column shows me that the dialog is being generated by
    C:\Program Files\MiniTool Partition Wizard 12\updatechecker.exe
    so I've removed all access permissions for that file.
    - I should have made a backup copy of this file first but I forgot.
    - So I might find that I start getting MTPW errors instead of the current Google thing but with any luck the error will be a silent one.

    The script I used to remove access permission was run as Admin -
    Code:
    takeown /f "C:\Program Files\MiniTool Partition Wizard 12\updatechecker.exe" /a
    icacls "C:\Program Files\MiniTool Partition Wizard 12\updatechecker.exe" /inheritance:r /remove "Administrators" "Authenticated Users" "Users" "System"
    Pause to check that it has run correctly
    This script was derived from that used in permissions removed for disabling USOClient [post #4 by ,TairikuOkami].

    I'll post back with an update if any errors appear.
    - My next experiment will be to uninstall MiniToolPartitionWizard then check that all its folders have been deleted [so I have no remnants from v11.5, see post #9] then install it again.

    Good troubleshooting work @Try3 (Denis). I didn't check Task Manager, but will do so if the error should appear on one of my systems. Keep up the good efforts!
