Damn. Yesterday, after installing the SSU and reinstalling the rogue Update, my Dune player could see my videos. This morning, back to square one - it can see the folder but not the videos inside. It makes no sense. Luckily, the Dune has an alternative way of accessing a Network Folder (not as user-friendly though) so I'll use that for now.
