How to prevent Microsoft Text Input Application from starting safely?
I Am searching for a way to prevent Microsoft Text Input Application from starting. Process name: TextInputHost.exe. You can rename its folder, but it will generate a lot of DCOM 10001 errors in Event Viewer. Like 300 in couple of days. Some DCOM errors can be safely ignored, not sure about this one. I solved it on previous install of Windows by unchecking startup and denying all permissions in DCOMcnfg.exe for InputService object.
But I don't want to mess with DCOMcnfg.exe. As you need to first take control of APPID key in registry and it will change permission for DCOM object inside DCOMcnfg. Even if you put it back, permissions won't change back. Also I couldn't change them manually to default, as special permissions are not visible, there are empty boxes in advanced, yet I see special permissions box checked - which means there are some special permissions. But I can't see which are enabled (because it is not visible in advanced/special permission section). No idea how to put them back...
