Why does this pop up every 10 seconds? HELP!!

I am in college and what was my school's home page (look alike) kept poping up on my desktop every few seconds. It was a false page. It has an "x" in the corner but no way to move it, make it larger or smaller. I tried loging into it once and then it looked like an administrative page as if I worked for the school as if I were on a school computer.

For reference. I go online to a real web page to log on to get to my school and canvas.

After trying to get rid of it a while.... it now continues to pop up every few seconds but says site unreachable. There is nothing in my programs or add ons that I can delete regarding this.

Can anyone help?

The HTTP 404 error means 'not found'. Your PC is trying to contact a school page or server that's not available.

As Paul Black says, report it to them, the problem is at their end - not yours.

As others mentioned, contact someone in administrative @ Carson Newman !
At this moment in time, the actual page is reachable and it shows you actually log into microsoftonline....perhaps they are the ones down ?
