Shift button stuck but sticky keys disabled

    Hello,
I have a weird problem where the shift is sort of "stucked" and I have to click it once to release it.
Changed keyboard - didn't help, checked if sticky keys are on (not)

    What else could cause this?

    Thanks

Hello, do you mean you find caps lock is on by default when you boot up?

One thread suggested some PCs have an option related to the CAPS LOCK key in the BIOS.

This registry setting may be of interest (ignore the title - it covers CAPS LOCK too)
    1 Turn CapsLock on
Enable NumLock on the Windows 10 Login screen/Lock screen

If you find it set on booting up, try booting to SAFE MODE and see it is set then.

If not, try a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure how) and then compare behaviour.
