    Corrupted taskbar icons in settings


    I have missing/corrupted icons in taskbar settings for 'Select which icons appear on the taskbar, see screenshot
    The icons are correct on the taskbar
    I have followed the advice here to no avail
    Any ideas what to try next?

    Hi. Have you tried resetting Tray Notifications? Always worked for me. Requires a Registry edit. Search in the Registry for TrayNotify. (It will be under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify).
    Delete IconStreams and PastIconStream in the right side pane. Then restart Windows File Explorer. That should do it.

    This worked perfectly
    Also tidied up the icons too
